What are the Continuing Education requirements for Louisiana Water Operators?

All Louisiana Water Operators are required to complete continuing education every two years.

  • Required Hours:
    • 1 Certification - At least 16 contact hours every two years
    • 2 Certifications - 16 contact hours (8 hours for each certification) every two years
    • 3 Certifications - 24 hours (8 hours per certification) every two years

 

Courses approved by the Department of Health and Hospitals/Office of Public Health.

State Of Louisiana Water Operator License Renewal Deadlines

  • The deadline for license renewal is December 31, every two years. Last names starting with A-J renew in even-numbered years and last names starting with K-Z renew in odd-numbered years.
Agency Requirements for licensure
