Nebraska Water Operator Continuing Education

Water operators in Nebraska who need to complete the necessary amount of continuing education units (CEUs) have found what they are looking for. What are the continuing education requirements for Nebraska water operators?

DRINKING WATER

Nebraska drinking water operators must complete 10 hours of continuing education every two years in order to renew their license.

The deadline for renewal is December 31st, every odd-numbered year.

Grade V licensees are exempt from the continuing education and renewal requirements.

 

WASTEWATER

Wastewater operators in Nebraska must meet the following requirements in order to renew their license

Courses are accepted by the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy.

  • Complete 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
  • Renewal deadline: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, or October 1st, every two years.
