This course will provide a basic understanding of electrical concepts a water operator may need in the course of their career. Students who take this course will learn about:

  • Basic Electrical Concepts - Learn the difference between direct current and alternating current, the purpose resistors and transformers, and the definitions of voltage, amperage, ohms, and watts.
  • Electrical Components of a SCADA - Educate yourself on the various components of a Supervisory Control and data Acquisition System
